About the use of the plug gauge:
    If the gauge can pass, it indicates that the aperture is greater than the minimum limit size. If the stop gauge cannot pass, it means that the aperture is less than the maximum limit size.

    The hole to be tested in the vertical position should be tested from above with the full shape plug gauge. Hold the handle of the plug gauge in your hand and allow the gauge to slide into the hole by its own weight. For the horizontal position of the hole to be measured, along the axis of the hole, gently feed the gauge into the hole. Do not push the plug gauge into the hole or push it in while rotating.
